Well who’d have thought? Yep, that’ll be yet another Moglet site revision then!
I make that five so far, but who’s counting! After much head scratching and trying
to figure out how to make the navigation on the previous site work properly, Jason
had the brainwave of throwing the whole damn thing in the bin and creating a separate
site for the Africa trip, rather than trying to fiddle with the main site. My kind
of man :-)
So, for all the newbies to the world of Moglet, here’s a link to the original site.
In a nutshell, the two of us headed off from Suffolk in the UK to South Africa,
with the intention of travelling overland via the west coast in our Mercedes Unimog
called Moglet. She’s been converted into a smashing camper, and there’s a link above
for you to find out lots more about her. We left the UK in November 2008 and since
then have had lots of adventures but never strayed further afield than the south
of France! The real adventures are still to come...

APOLOGIES FOR THE SHOUTING, I’LL STOP NOW!!!!!!
And another apology, I’m afraid. Once again, I find myself in a position where the website diary is over a month out of date and I just don't have the time to bring it up to speed in the way I’d like. I’d love to be able to sit down and write lots of chatty prose, telling everyone what we’ve been up to, letting you know all the funny things that have happened along the way. But there always seems to be something that needs doing that isn't the website, and writing chatty prose takes a while, so when I do get the chance to sit down at the PC, everything takes so much longer that I expect. So, things are all ok up until the 8th May. After that point I’m just going to add lots of photos for each stage of the trip which will hopefully be much quicker and easier to do - my theory is that a shallower level of updates on a regular basis is better than bugger all for weeks on end. The GPS page will still be updated and I’ll add more clips to the YouTube pages when we have them. I feel like I’m ending up doing a half-arsed job, but it can't be helped unless we stop every three days for a day of website updates, which really isn't practical. Hopefully this approach will work out better...
I’ve got to be honest, making all these excuses for this website is getting a little tiresome! It's now late August and I haven't done an update here for a while. A long list of too hot (50+ degrees in Moglet is not really conducive to updates), then no time, then no internet access, blah blah blah. Suffice to say, there's lots to add but I haven't don't it yet. And now we’re in Iceland for goodness sake, so no time to be playing with the Africa website because there's an Iceland site to worry about now!!! Head on over and feel free to take bets on how long it’ll be before that ones in a right state too!
